It's late January and although it is still pretty chilly, the first signs of Spring are poking through. The hellebores, cyclamen, snowdrops are in flower and the daffodil leaves are hinting at the flowers that are going to be here before we know it! Exciting times.
Of course whilst the weather is on the cold side, there isn't a lot of visible activity here at Bloom HQ. We are though making lots of plans for the forthcoming year.
In order to keep the wheels rolling on some of our existing schemes, we are reliant on fundraising and this is where you brilliant supporters come in. We are fortunate to have been selected in the 'Your Community, Your Choice' awards, which provide financial support to community projects like Denbigh in Bloom. It's a brilliant scheme - not least because the money is taken from the proceeds of crime. That means ill-gotten gains are being used for real good at grass roots.
In order to be in with a shout of winning this funding, we need votes. The public decides and you get four votes per email address, so if you have more than one email, you can vote four times per email!
