Denbigh in Bloom is a group of volunteers who share an enthusiasm for enhancing our town’s historic beauty.  Aside from the obvious planting projects that we do, we've invested a lot of time and energy in cleaning up litter, painting railings and bollards, restoring tatty benches and trying to bring people together with a common goal.

Ultimately, we wanted to encourage shoppers and visitors to spend their time here and the feedback from the whole community has been overwhelmingly positive.

Slowly but surely, the group has built up a roster of projects with a clear emphasis on brightening our local environment for the benefit of everyone – including the local wildlife.

Today, the group has around 15 regular volunteers who get involved in a range of activities.  Not everyone considers themselves to be a gardener, but everyone enthusiastically rolls their sleeves up to dig, weed, litter pick, cover a stall at an event selling plants or merchandise, provide hands on support to local schools who help us grow our plants or set up the planters on the High Street.

We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you have some spare time and like getting outside into the fresh air get in touch!

You don't need to have green fingers, because there are always other things that we need to do and everyone is welcome!
